I used to see this band play at Brainstains and Slabtown in Portland every once in awhile and I always thought they were kind of derivative and boring. But Mattey, who sort of looks like a scruffier Fred Savage is full of boyish charm. And one thing about me is I'm a total sucker. It sounds as if they might have matured a bit on this record, stumbled upon a couple of decent guitar hooks. Though for the most part, if you've heard anything else on Woodsist, and chances are if you've been on the internet in the past 12 months you have, then you're already well acquainted with this record.
