U.S. Girls-Introducing...Like Grouper's deformed, ill-mannered twin most of the songs on U.S. Girls debut for SiltBreeze are a litany of contact mic'd sheet metal, pissed on drum machines, mangy phased out stabs of guitar filtered through the pinhole pricked ears of a practice amp, clattering and shrill two chord piano rumblings, and a frail, female caterwauling lost in a tactless soup of echo, moaning torch songs above the hiss of the tape.
Also, she is from Chicago and hopefully going to play a show with me a Subterrannean relatively soon.

The Studio-Yearbook 2Poor Air France, everytime they try to put something out The Studio come along and do the same thing but better. this is personally one of the most eagerly anticipated releases of the year, mainly because after listening to Yearbook 1 it became pretty apparent that these guys don't make mistakes. Forget 'In This Club', The Studio's cover of The Shout Out Loud's 'Impossible'
IS your summer jam.
