LCD Soundsystem- Sound of Silver

I was reluctant to download this record. Not that I don't enjoy LCD Soundsystem. If nothing else James Murphy is a dreamboat. But however redundant it is to point out his bite/synthesize all of the best dance progenitors from the last 30 years strategy, I sometimes can't help but feel like a glutton when I listen to his records. Of course he's the dance music equivalent of Quentin Tarantino. I guess that's half the point. Call it Catholic guilt, all I know is when I hit play I'll always feel just a little dirty. It's my porno, there I said it.

Check out "Someone Great". An early version of it showed up on the Nike mix he did last year and it was arguably the best moment of the whole 45 minutes or however long it was.

If I had more time I'd be posting A Sunny Day in Glasgow's "Scribble Mural Comic Journal". They are MUCH MUCH more inventive and sly than their name suggests. But, alas, I have to go to the library and get some Spanish on tape as I've gone ahead and bought my tickets to Spain this summer.
I'll try to tomorrow.

ADULT.-Why Bother?

Mark walked in the room and asked me why I was listening to Prodigy. Fuck you, Mark. ADULT. rules.

GOTCHA!!

So the debut Bastardgeist album, SKLL SKLL SKULL 69 SKLL ATOMIC BOMB, previously available is not actually the final version. But it is pretty close. There are some changes to a feW of the songs (namely protectionism) and there might even be one or two added last minute. But it's almost there. Some of the tracks aren't in mp3 format so you'll have to convert them on your itunes, if you managed to download it. If not, I'll probably force a copy on you when it's finished anyway.

Dntel-Dumb Luck

It's true I haven't posted in awhile. There have been a number of distractions (new job, visiting parents, etc.) but I'm starting to get my time back under control. And I'm ecstatic to announce I have finished the Bastardgeist debut entitled, SKLL SKLL SKULL 69 SKLL ATOMIC BOMB.

Later tonight I will be posting an unmastered version of it for a few people to retrieve. But due to track names being changed and other silly details there will only be a short window of time in which to download it.

Until then, entertain yourself with the new Dntel, Dumb Luck. It's pretty much what you expected. pretty shiny, pretty spotless, not revolutionary, but worth a listen.
