U.S. Girls-Introducing...
Like Grouper's deformed, ill-mannered twin most of the songs on U.S. Girls debut for SiltBreeze are a litany of contact mic'd sheet metal, pissed on drum machines, mangy phased out stabs of guitar filtered through the pinhole pricked ears of a practice amp, clattering and shrill two chord piano rumblings, and a frail, female caterwauling lost in a tactless soup of echo, moaning torch songs above the hiss of the tape.
Also, she is from Chicago and hopefully going to play a show with me a Subterrannean relatively soon.
